Ernest Bevin (1881–1951) was one of Britain’s most influential statesmen during the mid-20th century. A former trade union leader and co-founder of the Labour Party, Bevin served as Foreign Secretary in Prime Minister Clement Attlee’s postwar government. At the time of this issue’s publication, Bevin was deeply involved in shaping the post-World War II global order—tackling the challenges of rebuilding Europe, managing Britain’s shrinking empire, and responding to rising tensions with the Soviet Union. He was also a key architect of Britain’s early Cold War policies and played a major role in the formation of NATO.
This issue is stored in a plastic protective covering for long-term preservation. We also offer combined shipping upon request.
An excellent addition for collectors of British political history, postwar international diplomacy, or Cold War-era leadership.
