This November 1972 issue of The Ring Magazine features Roberto Durán on the cover, captured shortly after his dominant knockout victory over Ken Buchanan that cemented his reputation as one of boxing’s most ferocious lightweights. Known as “Manos de Piedra” (Hands of Stone), Durán’s meteoric rise made him one of the most feared fighters of the decade.
